When four friends got together with three guitars and a box and remembered how much
they liked to play music together."
Beecake was originally formed around July 2006, but the 4 friends have been playing together for 20 years as Foreign Country. They first planned to name the new band The Angels Share but it was already taken by another band. The inspiration for the final name came from Dominic Monaghan who sent Billy an MMS of a cake with bees on it during a trip in Spain.
Beecake released their first EP Just B in 2007 and have palyed gigs both in the UK and the US. Their debut album Soul Swimming was first released in 2009 and can be bought at the official website beecake.com.
